Inorite?! I fucking love Uniqlo, and it boggles me that they don't have stores here. I've just discovered a Japanese mail-forwarding service (in English), so I've done a Uniqlo order for a couple of basic tops and a printed tee :D! This is the website: J-Shoppers Mail Forwarding.

I have a lot of Uniqlo socks too, they are so good!

Oh I love Uniqlo so much! Why don't they have something like that in Australia?
I still have Uniqlo clothes that I wear but I guess some of them are on their last legs :(
Why didn't I buy more Uniqlo socks? (mens ones of course, the womens socks would never have fit me) but they had so many funky colours!

Your fashions are very awesome!

Thanks! It sounds like Uniqlo and department store plus size sections come infuriatingly close to my size without quite making it. (I did get a couple of shirts at Jusco, wearable but still decidedly too tight.) I will definitely be checking out Nissen.

Certainly! Depending on how proficient you are at reading Japanese (or roping a friend in to help!), http://www.nissen.co.jp/smileland/ has an excellent plus-size range, up to about a 26 or 28 in some lines. I found it very easy to order online, and they have size charts for each individual item, so sizing is quite accurate.

If you are an inbetweenie, Uniqlo is all over Japan and has great basic tops and tees, and stretch polyester skirts. (They also sell jeans and pants, but only to a 30 inch waist for women). I've got a 16F bust and the tops with a touch of stretch fit great, and are priced really well - usually between 1000-2000 yen each.

Most department stores will have a smallish plus section, generally with pants up to a 90-100cm waist. Jusco has inexpensive basics, and has stuff on sale seasonally. Marui. or OIOI, is my favourite department store and they're in most major cities. Their plus section has some great stuff, and I'm partial to the brand "RU". I tend to be at the top of the size range there, though, and it can be a bit pricey.

Hope that helps a bit :)

Not that I have any intention of becoming fashionable (I imagine it would take time, effort, money, and enthusiasm) but it might be nice to be able to buy clothing at all in Japan. Can you tell me more about these Japanese stores that have plus-size clothing?
